## An Entrustment to Mary

Good afternoon. This is Bill Young, and welcome to the 193rd episode of Prayer N Lunch. Today, we are praying a prayer written by Pope John Paul II titled "O Mary, Mother of our Divine Grace." The prayer begins with a caption: "I entrust the new spring of vocations to Mary, Mother of Grace."

## The Prayer for Vocations

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

We turn to you, Mother of the Church. You, whose fiat opened a door to the presence of Christ in the world, in history, and in souls, accepting in humble silence and with perfect willingness the call of the Most High. Grant that once again in our times, many men and women may perceive the inviting voice of your Son: "Follow me."

Grant that they may have the courage to leave their families, their occupations, and their worldly hopes to follow Christ along the path indicated by Him.

## Intercession for the Servants of the Church

Stretch out your maternal hands to all the missionaries working throughout the world, to the religious brothers and sisters who are taking care of the elderly, the sick, the handicapped, and the orphans. Stretch out your hands to those who commit themselves to teaching, to members of the secular institutes who are silent in their good deeds, and to those who, in closed orders, live by faith and love and intercede for the salvation of the world. Amen.

*We look to Mary, through her humble fiat, to help a new generation of men and women courageously answer Christ's call to vocation.*
