# Prayer for Students

## Opening

Good afternoon, this is Bill Young, and welcome to the 189th episode of Catholic Podcast Ministries, Prayer and Lunch. I’m recording this in the evening, and as a part‑time student myself, I wanted to offer a prayer for all students, especially my son Greg.

## The Prayer for Students

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, amen.
Father of Light and Wisdom, thank you for giving me a mind that can know and a heart that can love. Help me to keep learning every day of my life, no matter what the subject may be. Let me be convinced that all knowledge leads to you. Teach me how to find you and love you in all the things you have made. Encourage me when the studies are difficult, and when I am tempted to give up. Enlighten me when my brain is slow, and help me to grasp the truth that you hold out to me. Grant me the grace to put my knowledge to use in building the kingdom of earth so that I may enter the kingdom of God in heaven. God bless you all, and amen.

## Reflection

As a student, I know how easy it is to feel overwhelmed or to wonder whether my studies matter. This prayer reminds us that every discipline can be a path toward God when we seek Him in our learning and use what we learn for the common good.
