> Bill Young shares a beautiful prayer honoring the gift of human life at every stage, from conception to the elderly, and invites listeners to embrace reverence for life.

## Introducing the Prayer

Good afternoon. This is Bill Young, and welcome to the 182nd episode of Catholic Podcasts Ministries, Prayer and Lunch. Yesterday was Respect Life Sunday, and I wanted to share a prayer I found online called “Prayer for Reverence of Life.”

## The Prayer for Reverence of Life

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Almighty God, giver of all that is good, we thank you for the precious gift of human life. For the life in the womb, coming from your creative power. For the life of children, making us glad with their freshness and promise. For the life of young people, hoping for a better world. For the life of the handicapped and disabled, teaching us humility. For the life of the elderly, witnessing the ageless values of patience and wisdom. Like the Blessed Mary, may we always say yes to your gift. May we defend it and promote it from conception to its natural end. And bring us, at last, O Father, to eternal life.

## Reflection

This prayer reminds us that every stage of life is a testament to God’s love and creativity. By honoring the unborn, the young, the disabled, and the elderly, we follow Mary’s example of saying “yes” to God’s gifts and become witnesses to the dignity of every human person.

*May we cherish and protect life at every moment, recognizing it as a divine gift that leads us toward eternal life.*
