> Bill Young leads a lunchtime prayer called “Prayer to Jesus Most Lovable,” asking for the intercession of a homebound friend and for Roseanne’s upcoming heart surgery.

## Opening Prayer

Good afternoon. This is Bill Young, and welcome to the 161st episode of Catholic Podcast Ministries, Prayer and Lunch. Today’s lunchtime prayer is called “Prayer to Jesus Most Lovable.” I’d like to lift up my friend John, who is homebound, and Roseanne, who will be undergoing open‑heart surgery on Tuesday. Let us pray for them and for all our needs. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

## Prayer to Jesus Most Lovable

O most admirable, beloved Jesus, you who are our life, our hope, our treasure, the only love of our souls—how great the cost you bore to remain with us in the sacrament! You chose to die so that we might remain at your altar. You bore every offense in order to console us with your presence. Your love, your desire to be loved by us, overcame all things.

Lord, come into my heart. Let no other creature take away the love I have for you. Therefore, O Jesus, grant that I may be entirely yours. If I fall short of obeying your commandments, may I feel the sting of remorse so that I may turn back to you. May my greatest desire be to please you, to visit you in the blessed sacrament at the altar, to remain in your presence, to receive you into my body, even when the world offers other pleasures.

I love nothing and desire nothing other than your precious love at the foot of the altar. Grant that I may forget myself in order to remember only your will. I do not envy the blessings of others; instead, I pray that their love for God may teach me how to love and please Him.

## Closing Intentions

We entrust John, Roseanne, and all who are suffering into the merciful hands of our Lord. May the Holy Spirit grant them healing, strength, and peace. May we each grow in the desire to be wholly united with Christ, especially in the Eucharist.

*May our hearts be ever fixed on Christ, the most lovable, so that we may find our true desire in Him alone.*
