# Faith Prayer: Trusting God’s Blessings
*2008-09-04*

> Bill Young shares a short “Faith Prayer” that asks God to bless families and individuals, emphasizing the power of mustard‑seed faith and the promise that God’s promises never fail.

## Introducing the Faith Prayer

Welcome to the 146th episode of Prayer and Lunch. Today’s prayer, called the Faith Prayer, was sent to me by my sister Gail from Pennsylvania. It reminds us that even a mustard‑seed of faith can move mountains, and that we should turn to God for strength whether we feel happy, sad, or depressed.

## What the Prayer Promises

The introduction says that many of us doubt that God will open a window and pour out blessings. Yet God cannot lie; His promises are sure. If you pray this prayer, three things may happen this week: you will find favor from an unexpected source, you will become relevant rather than ignored, and you will encounter God in a way that changes you forever.

## The Prayer Itself

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Heavenly Father, most gracious and loving God, I pray that you abundantly bless my family and me. I know that a family is more than just a mother, father, sister, brother, husband, or wife—it includes all who believe and trust in you. Father, I lift up a prayer request for blessings not only for the person hearing this prayer but also for all to whom this message is forwarded.

The power of joint prayer by those who believe and trust in you is greater than anything. I thank you in advance for your blessings. Deliver the person hearing this from debt, and grant me the wisdom to be a good steward of all you have given me. I know how wonderful and mighty you are, and I ask that we obey you and walk in faith. May we have the mustard‑seed faith that you will pour out blessings.

Thank you, Lord, for the recent blessings I have received and for the blessings yet to come, because I know you are not done with me. Amen.

## Closing Encouragement

Remain in God’s love as you share this prayer with others. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and He will never fail you, for He is awesome. God bless you.

*Even a tiny seed of faith can open the window for God’s abundant blessings.*
