## A prayer for Amina

Good morning. Today we are going to pray a special prayer for the offering of the most precious blood for the sick. I would like to dedicate this prayer to my mother, Amina. Yesterday, while we were on Sanibel Island, she fell in a store. Because she is an older woman, she fractured her hip and is going into surgery today. This prayer is for her speedy recovery.

## Petition for healing

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Jesus, our Savior, divine physician, who heals the wounds of the soul and those of the body, we commend to you Amina. By the merits of the most precious blood, grant her the grace of good health. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

## Beseeching the Divine Physician

Jesus, our Savior, you who were ever merciful when faced with the miserable conditions of humanity and healed all types of infirmity, have compassion on Amina. By the merits of your most precious blood, we beseech you to free her from her illness. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

## Faith in the Word

Jesus, our Savior, who said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and overburdened, and I will give you rest," say again to Amina the words heard by the sick people: "Get up and walk." May it be so that through the merits of your most precious blood, she will run immediately towards the foot of your altar to thank you. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

## Intercession of the Blessed Mother

Mary, Health of the Sick, pray for Amina. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
