# Consecration to the divine will and the novena to St. Maximilian Kolbe
*2008-06-23*

> Bill Young leads a prayer of consecration to the Divine Will of God and continues the seventh day of the novena to St. Maximilian Kolbe.

## Consecration to the Divine Will

I want to begin today by praying a prayer to the Divine Will of God.

All divine and adorable will, here I am before the immensity of your light, so that your internal goodness may open its doors to me. Let me enter into it so that I may find my life entirely upon you. O divine will, therefore adorable will, I, the smallest of your creatures and a little host of children of your supreme fiat, come before you. I bow down before your light, prostrate in my nothingness. I implore and beseech your unending light to surround me and leave in the shade all that does not belong to you, so that I may look only at you, understand and live in you.

O divine will, your divine will shall be my life, the center of my mind, which steals my heart. In this heart of mine, human desires shall live no more except those which comfort your will, thus forming a new garden of Eden where peace, happiness, and love shall reign. By living according to your divine will, I shall always be content. It shall be my soul's source of strength, a source of holiness which sanctifies and draws everything to God.

## Intercessions for Guidance and Protection

Here, prostrate, I invoke the help of the Most Holy Trinity, that they may grant me to live in the cloister of the divine will, so that the original order of creation, when life was created, may be re-established in me.

Heavenly Father, sovereign Queen of the divine fire, take me by your hand and keep me always in the light of your divine will. You will be my guide, my tender mother. You shall keep your daughter and son, and shall teach them to live and keep themselves within and close to the divine will. Heavenly sovereignty, my mother, I entrust my being to your heart. I will be like the little children; you will instruct me at the school of the divine will, and I will listen to you attentively. You will cover me with your blue mantle so that the infernal shepherd dare not enter into this sacred garden of Eden to tempt me and cause me to fall into the labors of earthly desires.

Heart of Jesus, my greatest good, you will give me your flame so that it may burn, consume, and nourish me to create within me the life of a supreme will. St. Joseph, you shall be my patron. In the garden of my heart, you shall keep the keys of my will in your hands. Guard my heart jealously, so that I may be certain of not fleeing from the will of God in any way. O guardian angel, be my protection; defend me and help me in everything so that the flowers in my garden of Eden may grow and blossom, embroidering all the world with the will of God. O heavenly court, come to my aid, and I promise you to live always according to your divine will. Amen.

## Novena to St. Maximilian Kolbe

Now we continue with Day 7 of the novena prayer to St. Maximilian Kolbe.

Lord Jesus Christ, who said, 'Greater love than this no man has, than a man lay down his life for his friends,' through the intercession of St. Maximilian Kolbe, whose life illustrated such love, we beseech you to grant our petitions. My petition today is for John and Roseanne, for their health needs, and that God give them strength in this time of need.

Through the Knights of the Immaculate Conception, which Maximilian founded, he spread a fervent devotion to Our Lady throughout the world. He gave up his life for a total stranger and loved his persecutors, giving an example of unselfish love for all men. This love, inspired by true devotion to Mary, grant to us all, that we too may give ourselves entirely and without reserve to the love and service of our heavenly queen, in order to better love and serve our neighbors in the imitation of your humble servant, St. Maximilian Kolbe. Amen.

*By surrendering to the Divine Will and imitating the unselfish love of St. Maximilian Kolbe, we can better serve God and our neighbors.*
