Welcome to the 38th episode of Catholic Podcast Ministries, Prayer and Lunch. This month’s theme is the Holy Spirit, and today we’ll pray the Chaplet of the Holy Spirit, written by Blessed Elena Guerra after Pope Leo XIII’s exhortation on May 5, 1895.

## The Chaplet of the Holy Spirit

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

O God, come to my aid. O Lord, make haste to help me. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever will be, world without end. Amen.

**Apostles’ Creed**
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

1. Come, O Spirit of Wisdom, detach us from worldly things and fill us with love for the things of heaven. Holy Father, in the name of Jesus, send your Spirit to renew the world.
2. Come, O Spirit of Understanding, enlighten our minds with the light of eternal truth and enrich our thoughts. Holy Father, in the name of Jesus, send your Spirit to renew the world.
3. Come, O Spirit of Counsel, make us obedient to your inspirations and guide us on the way to salvation. Holy Father, in the name of Jesus, send your Spirit to renew the world.
4. Come, O Spirit of Courage, give us strength, perseverance, and victory over our spiritual enemies. Holy Father, in the name of Jesus, send your Spirit to renew the world.
5. Come, O Spirit of Knowledge, be the master of our souls and help us put your teachings into practice. Holy Father, in the name of Jesus, send your Spirit to renew the world.
6. Come, O Spirit of Reverence, dwell in our hearts so that all our actions may be sanctified. Holy Father, in the name of Jesus, send your Spirit to renew the world.
7. Come, O Spirit, wondrous and ever present, reign over our will and grant that we may always choose to suffer rather than fall into sin. Holy Father, in the name of Jesus, send your Spirit to renew the world.

## A Simple Lenten Prayer

Dear Lord, as I walk my Lenten journey with you, send me your Spirit. Help me to turn away from sin, to fast and pray, that I may know you more deeply. Renew me so that I may share your grace with the world. Amen.
