Welcome to episode 34 of Prayer & Lunch. Before we begin the prayer, I want to share a brief caption that frames it. This prayer comes from the heart of St. Francis of Assisi, who emphasizes the inner actions of the Holy Spirit that purify, enlighten, and enkindle in us the fire of divine love.

## Prayer to the Holy Trinity

Almighty, eternal, righteous, and merciful God, grant by your grace that we, poor creatures, may do what we know you want us to do. May we always desire what pleases you, and thus be purified in soul, interiorly enlightened, and enkindled by the fire of the Holy Spirit. May we follow in the footsteps of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and reach you, O Most High, with the help of your grace alone. You who live and reign in glory, in perfect Trinity and simple unity, Almighty God, forever and ever. Amen.

## A Personal Lenten Prayer

Dear Lord, as I make my Lenten journey with you, send me your Spirit. Help me to give of myself, turn away from sin, and fast and pray so that I may know you better. Let me be renewed through this journey and share your grace with the world. Amen.
