# The Year of St. Paul and Our Lenten Journey

> Bill Young reflects on a retreat dedicated to St. Paul, introduces a prayer to Mary as Queen of the Apostles, and offers a Lenten prayer for the listeners.

## A Retreat on St. Paul

I had the privilege of attending a one‑day retreat yesterday, focused on St. Paul. The Year of St. Paul began on June 29th, and the retreat was organized by the Sisters and Daughters of St. Paul at St. Thomas University in Miami. It was a wonderful experience, and I also met some fellow podcasters who were recording a show called The Hands and Feet, a Catholic radio program for teens and young adults. You can find more information about them on my website.

## Prayer to Mary, Queen of the Apostles

Our prayer today is to Mary, Queen of the Apostles, asking that she intercede for us as the mother of Christ in each of our hearts.

Queen of Apostles, pray for us, your children. We entrust ourselves entirely to you. Pray that we may never offend Jesus but love Him with all our heart. Beneath your mantle we take refuge daily. Make us all yours; all that we have is yours. You are a great teacher—teach us, guide us, and defend us from all dangers as you have done until now. After this exile, show us Jesus, the blessed fruit of your womb. Amen.

## A Lenten Prayer

Dear Lord, as I make my Lenten journey with you, send me your Spirit. Help me to give of myself, to turn away from sin, and to fast and pray so that I may know you better. Let my journey renew me to share your grace with the world. Amen.

*May Mary, Queen of the Apostles, guide us safely through this Lenten season.*
