# Novena for Grace: Giving God Our Troubles
*2008-01-12*

> Bill Young leads a novena prayer asking God to grant grace for personal needs, while remembering Brother Roger of Couples of Christ.

## Opening and Intentions

Welcome to the 13th episode of Prayer and Lunch. Before we begin the novena, I want to thank Brother Roger of Couples of Christ for his encouraging comment. He mentioned that he is troubled, so let us pray that God grants him the graces of this prayer and all the prayers we offer today.

## Invocation of the Trinity

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, amen.

Oh God, come to my aid. Oh Lord, make haste to help me. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

## Prayer to the Eternal Father

Eternal Father, here I am, a poor and powerless creature. I recognize my weakness and Your infinite power. I place my need before You, trusting that You will provide what is necessary for me. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

## Prayer to the Eternal Son

Eternal Son, here I am, a poor and ignorant creature. I acknowledge my great ignorance and Your infinite wisdom. I place my need before You, trusting completely and abandoning myself to You. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

## Prayer to the Eternal Holy Spirit

Eternal Holy Spirit, here I am, a poor and ungrateful creature. I recognize my ingratitude and Your infinite goodness. I place my need before You, abandoning myself to You and trusting in Your care. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

## Conclusion

And God bless. Thank you.

*We entrust our troubles to the Trinity, confident that God's grace will meet our deepest needs.*
